What happens when you combine water damage and a homeowner vacation?
Project Location: New Baltimore
Project Summary: A homeowner returned to discover a significant water leak originating from the second-floor washing machine. The water had spread throughout the laundry room and hallway and had also traveled through the ceiling, causing damage to the bathroom below via the fan and light fixtures.
Our team at ADVANCE RESTORATION, executed a complete water extraction, drying, and demolition process to safely remove all compromised materials. Once the structure was fully dried and moisture levels returned to normal, we managed the entire reconstruction from start to finish. This included installing new flooring throughout the affected areas, replacing cabinets and countertops, installing new tile, updating bathroom fixtures, and replacing appliances. All impacted spaces were restored to pre-loss condition with the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Technical Insight: The accompanying images show our use of an infrared thermal imaging camera to identify temperature differentials that indicate hidden moisture. Darker blue areas represent cooler temperatures, which are typically associated with moisture trapped behind walls, ceilings, or flooring.
